Product Review: The Kelty PK50 is my backpacking backpack of choice. One of my favorite things about this backpack is that it has no zippers! I like that because it means less can go wrong when I am in a situation where my gear functioning properly is so critical. I also like that it is so comfortable, configurable and compressible. In my opinion this is the perfect backpack for a 1-6 day backpacking excursion and I have used it on several occasions without one issue. It is both good looking and rugged!

Product Rating: 5/5 Stars
Estimated Retail Price: $49.95

Product Review: The GoalZero Guide 10 Plus is a great buy for camping and or backpacking trips. What I like most about it is that it uses AA or AAA rechargeable batteries. I like this because other gear that I have also uses those batteries so I can swap them out when their power is getting low and charge them with my solar panel while I am either hiking or have camp setup for the day. Another great feature that the Goal Zero Guide 10 Plus has is that it allows me to charge my cell phone via a USB port on the device. This USB port can be used to charge a variety of devices including tablets and cameras providing they have a compatible port. I typically get 2 full phone charges out of the 4 AA batteries. Lastly, when ever I am backpacking I like to have a little redundancy for the eseentials. The Guide 10 has a built in LED flash light that it capable of running for 20+ hours off of a full chage; this is a great tool to have if your main light source fails.
